This year I attended Las Fiestas del Carmen, which is the most important event of the town of Marin with the celebration of numerous events over the 10 days of the festivities.
Marin is the home of the Naval Academy, the only installation of this type in Spain, moved from San Fernando (Cádiz) in 1943. The King of Spain, or in his absence the Prince of Asturias along with his wife visit the School every July 16 to preside the ceremony of the Pledge of Allegiance and the Delivery Offices to new students and old soldiers.
I tried to to reduce the list of photos attached to this post, but I think I failed in the attempt.
Este año pude asistir a Las Fiestas del Carmen, que son el evento más importante de la localidad de Marín con la celebración de numerosos actos a lo largo de los 10 días que dura oficialmente la festividad.
Marín alberga la Escuela Naval Militar, única instalación de este tipo en España, trasladada desde San Fernando (Cádiz) en 1943. El Rey de España, o en su defecto el Príncipe de Asturias junto con su esposa visitan la Escuela cada 16 de julio para presidir el acto de la Jura de Bandera y Entrega de Despachos a los nuevos alumnos y viejos militares.
He intentado reducir la lista de fotografías que adjuntar a esta entrada, pero creo que he fracasado en el intento.
